Our town offers various promenades and hiking trails through the forest
around the town and the nature reserve of “Königshaide”.
From the hills you can enjoy a phantastic view to the Steinachtal, the forests and the silence.

Several inns offer delicious meals and snacks.

You can make a lot of excursions and trip – to Bayreuth – the town where the Wagner festival takes place every year, the world heritage site of Bamberg, the cloister of Waldsassen, Karlsbad and Marienbad in the Czech Republic.

Bus operations offer various trips to scenic places.

Welcome to Fichtelgebirge mountain

The Fichtelgebirge is a typical low mountain range with climatic spa areas like Warmensteinach and Fleckl. 6 Ski-lifts , 2 with flood-light (Oberwarmensteinach) until 22 h, a modern cable pulley to the Ochsenkopf (1024m) This ski and snowboard area offers all adv antages for ski-experts.

Children from 4 years on are as welcome as grown ups in the ski-schools of the region and in case you have no own ski you can rent them.

In summer the “Fichtelgebirge” is an excellent walking region and in winter a ski cross country sking area.

The loipes are illuminated until 22 h. You can also try to jump from the 90 m high ski-jumg, the highest one in Northern Bavaria.

Or you enjoy a walk through the white winter country side on the various

hiking trails.

After all activities we offer a visit in a Sauna and a massage.
In addition various delicious meals are offered in our region.
